Civil organisations in KwaZulu-Natal have blamed racial disparity for the way in which gender-based violence cases are handled in the country.
Justice South Africa, Civil Society, and Siphila Ngomusa Community Development have expressed their concerns about how the rape of a 7-year-old girl has been handled, particularly the fact that the perpetrators have not yet been arrested.
This comes as calls for justice for Cwecwe continue, following her alleged rape on school premises in October last year. To date, justice has not been served.
