Etzebeth crowned SA Rugby Men’s Player of the Year

Springboks Rugby World Winning lock Eben Etzebeth has been crowned 2023 SA Rugby Player of the year. The Bok hard man has won the award for the second year in a row, become only the second player to achieve the feat, after Pieter-Steph du Toit who won back-to-back titles in 2018 and 2019. The 32-year old was nominated with his fellow World Cup winning teammates with captain Siya Kolisi, Pieter-Steph du Toit, Frans Malherbe and Damien Willemse.
In the Women’s category Libbe Janse Van Rensberg won the Springbok Women and Provincial player of the year, after featuring for the Springbok Women in the 15s and 7s teams, and won the Women’s Premier division with the Bulls Daisies.
Vodacom Bulls speedster Canaan Moodie was named Young Player of the Year for the second year in a row after his fantastic performances for the World Champions and the Bulls.
