Four most wanted suspects have been gunned down during a shootout with the police in the early hours of this morning in Camperdown, outside of Durban.

The police say they have been on an intensive search of these suspects who have been linked to several cash-in-transit robberies in the province in the past few weeks.

KZN police spokesperson Jay Naicker says the police were met with a hail of bullets from the suspects … when they appoached the residence – in which the suspects were hiding out at.

He says police were forced to retaliate resulting into the four suspects being fatally wounded.
