Gagasi FM gives back to Sibonelo Creche in Ndwedwe

As part of our initiative #GagasiCaresForKzn and birthday month, we drove to Ndwedwe at Sibonelo Creche, to distribute food parcels to the children and families of the neighborhood. This initiative is part of the station’s ongoing efforts to support local communities during challenging times.

Sibonelo Creche is a vital institution in the Ndwedwe community, providing education and care to children from underprivileged backgrounds. However, the previous ongoing KZN Floods, has had a severe impact on the creche and the families it serves, with many struggling to put food on the table, among other challenges.

Since we turned 17 years this month, we recognized the urgent need to support Sibonelo Creche and rallied ourselves to donate non-perishable food items.

The joy and gratitude on the faces of the recipients were palpable, with many expressing their heartfelt thanks to us.. The food parcels are not only a lifeline for the families but also a symbol of hope and solidarity.

The food parcel distribution is just one of many community initiatives that we have undertaken in recent years. In fact we have a long history of supporting local communities through various outreach programs, including education and social welfare.

We also received a certificate of appreciation from Sibonelo Creche for our ongoing support and contributions to the community. The certificate we got awarded for was in recognition of our efforts towards giving back among other major projects.
