Gagasi FM #WorkWeekWednesday Activation

In commemoration of worker’s month, we broadcasted live from Shell Garage, Umhlanga, for our #WorkWeekWednesday activation on Wednesday, 8 May 2024.
We know that it’s easy to get caught up in the daily grind of tasks and deadlines, however, amidst the hustle and bustle, it’s still essential to pause and acknowledge the hard work we all put in, in efforts to maintain our lifestyle and to keep our economic engine running.
With the activation moto being #FuelYourWorkWeek with Gagasi FM , we were all about pumping loads of positive morning vibes by offering a FREE cup of coffee, with a mouthwatering Gagasi FM cupcakes to the workers who came to engage with us.
Teaming up with #TheUprising (hosted by Felix Hlophe and Minnie Ntuli), the #WorkWeekWednesday activation brought explosive energy both on the airwaves and to the hundreds of listeners who attended.
One of the highlights of our activation was the live #GrandGrandQuiz moment (a very popular competition moment on the show) , which saw Ayanda (a listener), answering all the questions correctly, scoring 10/10, and walking away with a fresh morning prize of R1000 in cash. The fun didn’t stop there, Sphectacula, DJ Naves, DJ Happygal, Ngcebo Bhengu, Lusanda Mnqayi, Sphokuhle Luthi, brought in their usual fantastic flair, which brought smiles and excitement all around.
They say in everything you do, you must always remember your home or your community. So, we listened, and closed off the activation with office busts to neighbouring businesses, where we brought the #WorkWeekWednesday excitement to their office, by doing dropping off the delectable Gagasi FM cupcakes for the staff to enjoy and fuel up the rest of their week.
As an organisation, we strongly believe in recognizing employees for their hard work and dedication, which not only boosts morale and motivation, but also fosters a positive work culture and strengthens employee engagement. When employees feel appreciates or valued, they are more likely to feel satisfied in their roles, remain loyal to the organization, and go above and beyond to contribute to its success.
It was evident at the end of the day, that this kind of fun gesture really made a positive impact to the money-makers of KZN.
