KZN Agriculture MEC Commits to Helping Kokstad Farmers After Veldfire Devastation.

KZN Agriculture and Rural Development MEC Thembeni KaMadlopha Mthethwa has committed
to supporting the farmers affected by the veldfires in Kokstad, located in the southern part of the
province.
The fires resulted in significant agricultural losses, including damage to infrastructure, livestock
feed, crops, grazing veld, and the Research Agricultural office in Kokstad.
According to a report presented by Zanela Pakkies from the agricultural office, the cause of the
fire is not yet known.
KaMadlopha Mthethwa stated that they will hold discussions to develop a solution for assisting
neighboring farmers who have lost their livestock feed.
