Royal AM coach John Maduka says he is expecting a tough challenge against relegation threatened Richards Bay FC when they meet in a KZN derby DSTV Premiership clash at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Saturday. The KZN sides are separated by six points going into this clash, Richards Bay FC have thirteen points after seventeen league matches and sit six points above bottom side Cape Town Spurs. Thwihli thwahla is one place above the Natal Rich Boyz going into this clash, but find themselves closer to the top eight than the relegation zone.
The Natal Rich Boyz have had somewhat of a resurgence under the tutelage of Vusumuzi Vilakazi who took over the reings in December last year after the sacking of Kaitano Tembo. Vilakazi has guided the side to victories over Supersport United in the league and Polokwane City in the Nedbank Cup, and suffered a loss against Sekhukhune United in between those fixtures.
John Maduka’s side has already beaten the Natal Rich Boyz in the first round of action in the league, but the Malawian mentor says he is expecting a much tougher challenge against their KZN rivals on Saturday, given the threat of relegation they are faced with at present.
