AmaZulu FC Goalkeeper Veli Mothwa says their DSTV Premiership clash against TS Galaxy will be personal as Usuthu looks to avenge their Carling Knockout semi final loss at the hands of the Rockets. The two teams will return to league action on Saturday at the Mbombela stadium, with each side looking for a positive result as they are seperated by just a single point in 9th and 11th position on the log.

Usuthu will be looking for a league double over Galaxy after winning the first league encounter by a goal to nil in August last year. However, Sead Ramovic’s side was able to place a dagger on Usuthu hearts as they knocked them out of the Carling Knockout 3-2 at the semi final stage, to deny the KZN side a home final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium. Usuthu shot-stopper Mothwa, who recently returned to the number one spot between the sticks after spending large parts of the season on the bench, believes the up coming match will be personal for his side as they want to avenge themselves for the loss they suffered the last time the two sides met.

“TS Galaxy, actually I will say, don’t get me wrong I feel sorry for them for this coming weekend,” said Mothwa speaking to the media on Wednesday.

“For me it hurt me when they beat us in the semi final, and then for the team I think it is personal now. We are motivated, it’s personal we can’t say let Bygones be Bygones it’s a revenge game, but with that revenge game we need to apply ourselves and be tactically good and disciplined. It is going to be a war zone in Mpumalanga so we are motivated to play the game,” the AFCON Bronze medalist added.
