Kaizer Chiefs have officially parted ways with Molefi Ntseki just four months after he took over the reins as head coach. The club made this announcement after a string of poor results for Amakhosi where they won just one of their last 4 matches in all competitions. The final straw for the Naturena based outfit was the 1-0 loss against AmaZulu FC last Saturday, which knocked them out of the Carling Knockout.
Ntseki was hired by Chiefs in June 2021 as the Head of technical and Youth development, and took the role of full-time coach in June 2023 after the sacking of Aurthur Zwane. Amakhosi have confirmed that Cavin Johnson will take over the role of head coach on an interim basis, and will be assisted by Dillion Sheppard who will remain in his position. Aurthur Zwane has been removed from the first team squad and redeployed back into the academy structure.
