AmaZulu FC coach Pablo Franco says his side will be out to prove itself as it is set to face double header of fixtures in Polokwane in the coming week. Usuthu will travel to Limpopo’s capital city to face Supersport United in a DSTV Premiership clash on Saturday evening, and a Nedbank Cup round of 16 fixture against Sekhukhune United on Thursday 14 March at the same venue.
The KZN team had an underwhelming start to the new year, failing to win the first three league matches and managing just one win in the Nedbank Cup, beating fellow KZN side Royal AM in the round of 32. The latest dissapointment for the Sandile Zungu owned team, was the 1-all draw at home against Moroka Swallows as the Dube birds clinched a late equaliser to deny Usuthu a chance to sneak into the top 8 of the league.
Speaking to the AmaZulu FC media team, Pablo Franco believes the next two away fixtures will be important for Usuthu as they look to turn the corner and show everyone what they are capable of.
“We are looking forward to the next games, we have a big week ahead in Polokwane playing Supersport away, playing Sekhukhune in the Nedbank Cup”, said Pablo Franco.
“I think these games are gonna be really important for us, not only in terms of getting good results but in terms of showing everyone the kind of teams AmaZulu is this season. I think the players have that anger inside, as the technical staff have also that desire of showing everyone what we are capable of.”
