Retired Police Investigator Lambertus Steyn to Resume Testimony in Senzo Meyiwa Murder Trial.

Retired police investigator and cellphone analyst Lambertus Steyn is set to resume his testimony in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial, currently being heard in the High Court in Pretoria.

Steyn previously revealed in court that cellphone records showed a connection between one of the five accused and Meyiwa’s girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo. However, doubts were cast on this evidence during the cross-examination of state witness Pinky Vythilingam from Vodacom, leading the defense to suggest that the evidence might have been compromised.

Meyiwa was shot and killed in 2014. Steyn has stated that their programs do not allow for any form of data manipulation.
