The Hollywoodbets Sharks have announced the signing of yet another World Cup winning Springbok player Andre Esterhuizen, the club confirmed on Thursday. The 29 year old midfielder makes his return to Durban where he started his career as a teenager back in 2013. The star centre signs from English Premiership team Harlequins, a side he joined in 2020 and won the Gallagher Premiership in 2021 and was voted Players Player of the Year in 2022.
Esterhuizen’s signing comes just a day after the Durban side announced the arrival of World Cup winning Springboks prop Trevor Nyakane and lock Jason Jenkins. The pair is part of four players who have so far been confirmed to join the Sharks next season, alongside Lions duo of Jordan Hendrikse and Emmanuel Tshituka.
