The Hollywoodbets Sharks have announced the signing of Springbok Prop Trevor Nyakane from French Club Racing 92 on Wednesday. The Durban side made the announcement on its social media platforms after many speculations of Nyakane returning to South Africa, with his contract set to end with the Paris based club.

Nyakane spent a total of 3 seasons in the French capital and made 47 appearances in all competitions after making the switch from the Vodacom Bulls in 2021. He will join an already Springbok-laden pack at the Sharks with the likes of Bongi Mbonambi, Ox Nche, Vincent Koch and Ntuthuko Mchunu already running out for John Plumtrees side.

The Sharks have already announced the signings of Springboks lock Jason Jenkins and the Lions duo of Jordan Hendrikse and Emmanuel Tshituka who will be joining the Black and White at the start of next season.
