Sundowns ladies and ASFAR set to clash in CAFWCL semi finals

Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies are gearing up for a clash against continental rivals AS FAR Rabat in the Semi finals of the 2023 CAF Womens Champions League at the Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium, in Korhogo Ivory Coast on Wednesday night. Masandawana go into this match at the back of impressive performances in the Pool stages, winning all three matches and scoring six goals without conceding. AS FAR reached the semifinals with two group wins, and suffered a 2-1 loss against Ghanian side Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC in their tournament opener.

The two African giants have won the first two editions of the CAF Women’s Champions League, and will be meeting for the third time in this competition. The first meeting was in the Group stages of the inuagural edition of the tournament in 2021 which ended in a goalless draw, and their most recent clash was the 2022 final which AS FAR won by 4-0.
