The Blitzboks will need plenty of luck in their second day of action at the Paris Olympic games, in order to stay alive after a dissapointing showing in the first two encounters. South Africa suffered back-to-back losses against Ireland (10-5) and arch-rivals New Zealand 17-5 and find themselves on the brink of elimination before the opening ceremony of the Paris games on Friday. The Blitzboks need to beat Japan comphrehensively in their final Pool A match on Thursday afternoon (16:00 SAST) to stand a chance of going through as the best third-placed side.
Team South Africa will be represented in Archery on Thursday with Tuks Archer Wian Roux set to take aim in the men’s recurve Individual at 14:15.
