Cape Town City have been the busiest of the all DSTV Premiership teams in the transfer market so far with eight signings confirmed ahead of the 2024/25 season. The Citizens have announced their latest acquisition, with 25-year old defender Sibusiso Ziba signing from Motsepe Foundation Championship side JDR Stars. Ziba was a prominent figure in the second-tire side, making 60 appearances in all competitions to help them to a 5th place finish.
Ziba is one of eight new signings for the Mother City side as they look to improve on their 5th place finish in the 2024/25 DSTV Premiership season. Eric Tinkler’s side have already announced the signings of Angolan midfielder Carlinhos, Fortune Makaringe, Hasheem Domingo, Prince Tjiueza, golakeeper Elson Sithole, Lefa Aphane and youngster Kayden Francis from Chippa United.
At the end of the 2023/24 season, City released Brice Ambina, Jo Paciencia, Relebogile Mokhuoane, Bongani Mpandle, Khanya Leshabela and Thabiso Kutumela who returned to Mamelodi Sundowns at the end of his loan spell.
