Cele Reports A Decrease In Rape Cases

Police Minister Bheki Cele says he is encouraged by the decrease reported in rape cases in Inanda North of Durban.
He says the cases of rape were down by 20 counts lower than the same period under review.
The Minister of Police has presented the quarterly crime statistics, reflecting on crimes that occurred during the third quarter of this financial year.
This period covers crimes that happened from the 1st of October 2023 to the 31st of December 2023.
Cele has attributed the decrease in the rape case to efforts of the police sexual offences unit.
