Chiefs draw Sundowns in the MTN8 semifinals.

Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates avoid each other in semi-final of the MTN 8 draw.

Amakhosi were drawn to meet Sundowns in the first MTN8 semi-finals, a rematch of last week’s DStv Premiership match where the Brazilians beat Amakhosi 2-1. The Buccaneers are the defending champions and will be looking to retain the trophy will meet Stellenbosch in the second semi-finals after beating Sekhukhune United 5-0 in their quarterfinal at Orlando Stadium.

The draw was conducted after Stellenbosch FC won 1-0 in extra time against SuperSport United at Peter Mokaba Stadium with a late strike from Andre de Jongh in 99th-minute.
Four teams will compete in the semi-finals of the MTN8 cup competition, in which the first leg game will take place on the weekend of 2 & 3 September and the second leg on the weekend of 23 & 24 September.

Venues are yet to be confirmed by the PSL and The FINAL will take place on Saturday 7 October 2023.
