Minister in the Presidency for Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities, Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, has sent a plea to men across the country to commit themselves to protecting and ending violence against women and young girls.
She had been speaking at this year’s Men’s Positive Masculinity Conference in Pretoria.
Her comments come as the country and the international community observe and encourage better safety for women through the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence against Women and Children Campaign.
Dlamini Zuma says a commitment from men to be protectors is needed now more than ever.
