March and March Leader Jacinta Ngobese Zuma has defended the integrity of the movement saying it is not being funded by any external source or government.

She says since the formation of the movement, accusations have been raised of who funds the movement which she maintains are false.

Ngobese – Zuma made these remarks while delivering her speech during March and March demonstrations in Durban central yesterday.

The organisation led by men dominated the city with a march against the murder and abuse of women and children in the country since 11 bodies of women have been found in Gauteng alone.

Ngobese – Zuma argues that there is an agenda to shift the focus of the movement’s message to the citizens by making unverified claims.

“Everything I have, I already had before March and March started. And I can continue without March and March now, and I’ll still be alright.”

“I don’t need to keep pushing you to do something wrong just so that someone can pay me a bribe, no.”

“At the end of the day we see our brothers are working at your Ubers, Checkers and Takalot. Then you have people who ask what has March and March achieved.”
