Makaab says Makaringe to CPT City is close

Gagasi FM Sports specialist Mike Makaab has given an update on the future of midfielder Fortune Makaringe. The 31 year old  was one of six players who were released by Orlando Pirates at the conclusion of the 2023/24 season. Makaringe spent four years at the Soweto giants and was a vital member of the team for most of his stay, but struggled for game time in his final season making only 14 appearances in all competitions.

Speaking on Extratime on Gagasi FM, his agent Mike Makaab says the midfielder is close to completing a deal with Cape Town City for the 2024/25 season.

“We haven’t concluded yet but very close concluding a deal for Fortune Makaringe at Cape Town City, hasn’t been done yet but we are close to concluding that deal. I am pretty confident that it will happen within the next week or so,” said Makaab.
