The uMkhonto WeSizwe Party is demanding justice after its co-ordinator in eThekwini Vusumuzi Ndlovu was gunned down at Tehuis hostel in Umlazi, south of Durban.
Ndlovu was killed while returning from an MK Party meeting when unknown gunmen ambushed him.
The party has urged leaders of other political parties in the province to desist from making reckless statements that may inflame tensions in the run-up to the May elections.
Meanwhile, provincial police spokesperson Thenjiswa Ngcobo says circumstances leading up to the incident are being investigated.
