Zimbabwean-born singer Sha Sha, the Queen of Amapiano, is showing her versatility. Known for her soulful and emotive vocals that helped define the early sound of Amapiano, she is now stepping into the rising three-step genre, a sound that is rapidly gaining momentum in South Africa’s dance music scene.

Three-step, an emerging offshoot of Amapiano and house music, is gaining popularity in clubs and festivals across South Africa. Its rolling percussion, melodic loops, and dancefloor rhythms complement Sha Sha’s versatility and Starr Healer’s dynamic performances.

Sha Sha announced on social media that she will feature on the upcoming track “Ungakhali” by producer Ticozet SA alongside Starr Healer. The single is set to drop this Friday, with the star expressing her excitement: “UNGAKHALI – @ticozet_sa FT Myself & @starr_healer dropping this Friday!

 Super Excited for this one!”

TICOZET is steadily building his reputation in South Africa’s electronic music scene. Through collaborations with established artists like Sha Sha and emerging talents such as Starr Healer, he is expanding the reach of three-step while maintaining a fresh and innovative sound.

This move marks another chapter in Sha Sha’s boundary-pushing career. After winning the BET Award for Best New International Act in 2020—the first Zimbabwean artist to do so—she cemented herself as a global voice for Amapiano. Now, her foray into three-step underscores her ability to adapt, experiment, and stay at the forefront of South Africa’s evolving music landscape.

Fans are eagerly anticipating how the trio will blend their styles on “Ungakhali.” With Sha Sha’s international acclaim, Starr Healer’s rising influence, and TICOZET’s production skills, the track is poised to become a standout in South Africa’s contemporary dance music landscape.
