An affidavit by suspended Deputy National Police Commissioner Shadrack Sibiya’s wife has disputed the State’s claim that a man known as Mr M was employed by Sibiya as a bodyguard.
Sizakele Dlamini says Mr M was never employed by her husband in any capacity, and was only known to her as a friend of Sibiya.
The State has alleged that Mr M worked as Sibiya’s bodyguard, including providing protection over weekends.
The dispute comes as Sibiya applies for bail in a case involving allegations of rape, human trafficking and the sexual grooming of a 16-year-old girl.
Sibiya has denied the allegations.
Reading her affidavit, in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court in Gauteng, here is what Dlamini has said, “Any contention that reached the end was either a client of the applicant or employed by him as a protector or guard, which to the best of my knowledge falls under fabrication,”
She continued, “I believe that such characterisation is an invention of Mr M’s own making, I do not know precicely what Mr M does for a living, nor was I ever aware of him holding any particular formal employment.”
The 59-year-old senior cop is accused of sexually grooming a 16-year-old girl between July and August 2026, as well as the alleged rape of an 18-year-old woman.
His bail hearing still continues at the Randburg Magistrate’s court…
