Sundowns ladies have learnt about their opponents for the 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League Cosafa qualifiers after the draw took place on Thursday morning. The Hollywoodbets Super League champions will be in group B alongside Comoros side Olympic de Moroni, Costa Do Sol from Mozambique and Young Baffaloes from Eswatini. Group A consists of last years regional champions Green Baffaloes (Zambia), Double Action Ladies (Botswana), Lesotho Defence Force (Lesotho), Ntopwa FC (Malawi).
The tournament will take place in Durban between 30 August and 8 September 2023.
The eight teams will compete in the assigned groups with the top two teams progressing to the semi finals. The two finalists will contest for the regional title and both teams will automatically qualify for the CAF Women’s Champions League that will take place in November this year. Fixtures, dates and times will be confirmed at a later date.
