Trade Union federation Cosatu has demanded compensation and justice for the families of 6 firefighters who tragically lost their lives while battling a blaze in the KZN Midlands.

Expressing anger and grief, the federation has called on the government to swiftly ensure that the families receive full compensation under the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act.

Cosatu’s Zanele Sabela called for a thorough investigation into suspicions that poachers may have started the fire.
