The EFF says its members of Parliament, ejected for protesting at former president Jacob Zuma’s state of the nation addresses, should receive constitutional damages.
Constitutional damages are a punitive form of relief with the dual function of deterring future human rights violations and promoting constitutional values.
However, Parliament maintains the ejections were justified due to the disruption.
