Hitman Behind Durban Cop’s Murder Sentenced

The Durban High Court has sentenced a 27-year-old, Mzo Ntombela, to 20 years imprisonment for murder of a 50-year-old Captain Zwelakhe Ntombela who was stationed at Durban Metro Police.

Ntombela was shot and killed whilst he was arriving at his home in Umlazi on the 3rd of May this year.

He was then robbed of his private and service pistols.

Speaking to Gagasi FM news KZN Hawks spokesperson Simphiwe Mhlongo says a case of murder was reported at Umlazi police station and the case docket was allocated to the Hawks for intensive investigation.
