The KwaZulu-Natal Government has urged unemployed people to make use of the Provincial e-Recruitment Portal to find employment and fight against poverty.

Premier Nomusa Dube Ncube, alongside MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Bongiwe Sithole-Moloi has unveiled over 17 000 beneficiaries of the Community Works Programme, as part of the government’s trailblazing S’thesha Waya Waya initiative.

Dube Ncube says this is just one of many ways to address unemployment and poverty in the province.

She says the online jobs platform consolidates all provincial government vacant posts and job opportunities and publishes them on this portal.

During the launch of the e-recruitment portal in Pietermaritzburg, the premier says this will make it easier and cheaper for unemployed people to apply for jobs advertised by government departments.
