The South African Police Service (SAPS) has confirmed that it has received a surrender order from the government of Eswatini for brothers Siyabonga Ndimande and Malusi Ndimande, who are accused of murder in South Africa.

The brothers abandoned their extradition appeal on Monday, paving the way for their return to South Africa.

They are wanted in South Africa for multiple cases, including the February 2023 murders of musician Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane. The two were shot dead outside a restaurant on Durban’s Florida Road.

National police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe says SAPS is finalising logistical arrangements to execute the surrender order next Tuesday (11 November 2025).

According to SAPS, the brothers face around 24 charges across three separate cases, including conspiracy to commit murder, murder, attempted murder, and unlawful possession of automatic firearms and ammunition.

The National Commissioner of SAPS, Fanie Masemola, has extended his thanks to Eswatini’s authorities for their cooperation in apprehending the pair and facilitating their return.
