KwaZulu-Natal Finance MEC, Peggy Nkonyeni, says the province is not immune from the economic crisis faced by the entire country due to various challenges.
The MEC has tabled her budget at the KZN Legislature in Pietermaritzburg, laying the foundation for other government departments to follow suit for the year 2024/25 financial year.
Nkonyeni says the R150 billion allocated for the province of KZN, has been planned around priorities such as revitalising KZN’s economy that has been negatively impacted by different issues.
The department of Education received a big chunk of R62.9 billion as expected followed by Health department that got R53.7 billion.
