President Cyril Ramaphosa says although much still needs to be done to close the gap even further, women are taking their rightful place in the country’s police and security services.
He was speaking at the integrated Women In Law Enforcement Parade, in Gqeberha, in the Eastern Cape yesterday.
Ramaphosa says the country has come far in building a non-sexist society, where women are free and equal and enjoy the rights guaranteed by the Constitution.
