The KZN Department of Transport has issued a stern warning on dangerous weather conditions threatening various parts of the province.

Heavy rain, hail and strong winds triggered by cut-off low-pressure system have affected several road networks and human settlements in various parts of KZN.

Durban has already experienced server hail storms and heavy rains on Tuesday afternoon with many public roads affected. The N3 in Westridge approaching Toll Gate Bridge has been flooded and is amongst some public roads that have already been affected.

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (KZN COGTA) has also warned communities of extreme thunderstorms expected in various parts of the province.

Rainy conditions are expected to persists for the next two days in and clear skies to only return on Friday.
