The Democratic Alliance has launched the Economic Inclusion for All Bill that seeks to replace Black Economic Empowerment.

The Black Economic Empowerment is a policy of the South African government, which aims to facilitate broader participation in the economy by black people.

The party says that since BEE was introduced in 2003, the African National Congress has used state resources to line its pockets instead of delivering much-needed services and upliftment to the people.

The DA’s Mat Cuthbert says that it is now incumbent upon the ANC to recognise that its failed policies no longer enjoy the same public support as before.

“This Bill aims to replace years of ANC ineffective policies that have left the vast majority of South Africans unemployed, impoverished and hopeless. Around 44 millions of our citizens are stuck in poverty,12 million are stranded in employment queues and our country remains the most unequal place on earth,” says Cuthbert.
