In commemoration of Women’s Day, Deputy Minister of Sport and Recreation Noncedo Mafu says it is important to acknowledge that women are still very much disempowered.
Mafu says it is concerning that even after 56 years there are gaps between gender equity laws and women’s realities.
Mafu is speaking with the public broadcaster on the sidelines of the women’s day commemoration taking place at the Union Buildings today
The Minister says women are subjected to challenges in providing quality education, healthcare and breaking free from domestic violence while dealing with inequality in the workplace.
