The murder case against a 36 year old man Tebogo Mnisi from Mamelodi, Pretoria East has been postponed to January 2026.

This is after he abandoned bail this morning at the local magistrate court opting for legal aid services in the case.

Mnisi was arrested beginning of this week for his connection to the brutal killing of two young women last weekend aged 21 and 22 whose bodies were found shot dead on the side of the road by some community members.

He’s facing 5 counts, including premeditated murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm.

The National Prosecuting Authority’s Lumka Mahanjana has expressed that it is preparing a strong case against the accused.

“The NPA is going to make sure that this matter is water-tight when it goes to trial. You must remember that Gender Based Violence is a priority to the NPA, this matter is also a priority to the NPA. You must understand that one of the deceased here is the girlfriend to the accused person,” says Mahanjana
