International Relations and Cooperation minister Ronald Lamola says government is waiting for an investigation report from France following the death of ambassador Nathi Mthethwa in Paris.
Mthethwa was found dead near the Hyatt Hotel, after he was reported missing on Monday.
Speaking to the public broadcaster Lamola says that the repatriation process, remains unknown at this point.
He has also noted Mthethwa’s role in strengthening South Africa’s ties with France.
“The Investigation is unfolding, and we will take it from their report. It is indeed difficult for everyone, and we as government are providing all the necessary support to the family. The French authorities I must mention, they have been very cooperative and have been of assistance, “says Lamola.
