The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has confirmed that all social grant amounts will increase by R10 from the October 2025 payment cycle.
This follows Finance minister Enoch Godongwana’s budget announcement earlier this year.
Old Age, Disability, Care Dependency, and War Veterans grants will all see slight increases.
SASSA spokesperson Andile Tshona says that the adjustment is vital to ease financial pressures and protect vulnerable groups.
Care Dependency Grant: Increased from R2 310 to R2 320
Old Age Grant: Increased from R2 310 to R2 320
Old Age Grant (over 75 years): Increased from R2 330 to R2 340
War Veterans Grant: Increased from R2 330 to R2 340
Disability Grant: Increased from R2 310 to R2 320
