The Suspended Deputy National Police Commissioner Shadrack Sibiya has accused KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi of manipulating public perception through what he calls, mind games.
Sibiya claims that Mkhwanazi interfered in investigations and misled the public under the guise of protecting South Africans.
Sibiya further alleged that Mkhwanazi’s social media presence creates a false hero image, while undermining police integrity.
He has warned that unchecked behavior could create an uncontrollable power within law enforcement.
“There are a lot of things we are supporting as a country, and we are creating a monster that no one is able to control. We can’t allow such a situation as a country to continue,” says Sibiya.
