Witness A has told the Madlanga commission of Inquiry sitting at the Bridgette Mabandla Justice College in Pretoria that businessman Katiso “KT” Molefe, accused of murder, tender fraud, and alleged ties to the ‘Big Five’ criminal cartel, is linked to a group of five individuals involved in mining in North West.
He says that one member, a man known as Ze Nxumalo from Sandton, is reportedly close to Economic Freedom fighter leader Julius Malema, who has ties to the Deputy National Commissioner for Crime Detection, Shadrack Sibiya.
Witness A is giving evidence to his testimony at the commission in-camera for his protection and is detailing links between high profile political figures and businessman in the country.
“During a call with General Shibiri he also said another guy is Zulu, he is a tall guy. He is known as Ze who stays in Sandton. He said Ze is a close friend of Julius Malema who is a politician, who then turns to be closer to general Sibiya,” says Witness A.
