ActionSA has raised serious concerns over reports alleging that as much as R15 million may have been stolen from President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Phala Phala game farm, contradicting earlier claims that approximately R8.75 million had been taken.
The party’s Michael Beaumont said the discrepancy raises fresh questions about transparency and accountability surrounding the matter.
Beaumont criticised what he described as failures by key institutions to ensure full accountability, while also questioning delays in the release of reports linked to the investigation.
He argued that Parliament and oversight bodies must intensify scrutiny into the matter to restore public confidence and ensure that all outstanding questions are addressed.
ActionSA has pledged to continue pursuing accountability through parliamentary processes, saying South Africans deserve clarity on the circumstances surrounding the alleged theft and the handling of the case by authorities.
