Employment and Labour Minister Thulas Nxesi has announced a new National Minimum Wage determination from R25.42 to R27.58 for each ordinary hour worked.

It will come into effect on the 1st of next month.

The department’s spokesperson, Teboho Thejane, says the determination also includes the vulnerable sectors of farm workers and domestic workers, who since 2022 have been aligned with the minimum wage rates.
