The uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party has denied reports that its national spokesperson, Nhlamulo Ndhlela, has been dismissed from the party’s Whippery Team in the National Assembly.

A letter, purportedly signed by MK Party Parliamentary Leader John Hlophe, has been circulating on social media, stating that Ndhlela has been immediately relieved of his duties due to what is described as “disruptive behaviour.”

However, Ndhlela has strongly refuted the authenticity of the letter. He says he has contacted Hlophe directly, who allegedly confirmed he never sent or signed such a letter. According to Ndhlela, the MK Deputy President has also denounced the document, stating that Hlophe’s digital signature is being misused.

“The party has not issued any communication to that effect. As things stand, I continue to serve in my role and remain part of the team in Parliament,” said Ndhlela.

The MK Party has yet to issue a formal statement, but Ndhlela insists the leadership is unaware of the letter’s origin and views it as a possible act of misinformation.
