Ndwendwe Mayor Councillor Sam Mfeka says the new Licensing Hub that will be launched in Ward 6 in the Town of Bhamsela, North of  KwaZulu-Natal is a practical expression of government commitment, in bringing services closer to the people.

With an estimated construction of R10 million the state of the art Motor licensing centre will be fully operational in January 2024.

Mfeka says this will ensure that people do not continue to travel long distances to access government services such as vehicle testing, driving licence renewal or taking learner licence testing.

The Mayor is speaking to Gagasi FM news on the backdrop of the mayoral mbizo in Ward 6 Simunye sport ground highlighting the development projects earmarked to stimulate the economy of Ndwendwe.

He says collaborating with the Department of Transport this project will ensure that road traffic services and law enforcement are delivered in a seamlessly integrated manner.

Adding that this  is the first of it kind in a previously disadvantaged rural community.
