In the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial currently underway at the High Court in Pretoria, a new witness Mlondi Tsiye has taken the stand.
Tsiye is the police officer who took buccal samples which test for DNA of accused number 3 and 4, Mthobisi Mncube and Mthokoziseni Maphisa at Sun City and Leeuwkop Prison in 2020.
She is testifying on how and where she took the swabs and who instructed her to do so.
Five men are on trial for their connection to the murder of the soccer star in Vosloorous, in 2014.
Tsiye through a translator says – all she did was take the swabs and was not involved in the investigations of the DNA.
